Who was MF talking about? The first member is obviously quite technically gifted. But this is where it finishes. He constantly tries to have the last word on every thread. He offers advice to everyone about every subject. He's a real know-it-all, but really seems to know nothing. As someone once said about Lisa in a Simpsons episode - 'Oh here she comes an answer to a question nobody asked'. Anyway my question is, do you think this member has anything else in his life and how can we stop him offering stupid advice to everyone?

Interesting thread. I'm intrigued by this comment by sasguru:Originally posted by NickFitz View PostAndyw (lower-case "w") was banned after a few months. [URL="http://forums.contractoruk.com/general/10599-andy-atw-post130345.html"]
"Although Atw generally posts something approaching sense."

Back to the original point, you will find contractors that fit all four of your scenarios, although I detect less conspicous flashing of the cash now than I did during the late 1990s.

He was just an annoying little troll, but he did manage to wreck just about every thread on here for a while and it was a huge relief to see the back of him.Originally posted by chris79 View PostI asked this the last time I did a poll when someone mentioned it.. I dont get/understand the AndyW joke, maybe I wasn't on here when it all happened etc, but if anyone will explain I will incorporate it (if appropriate) in future.
None of the newer trolls have exhibited quite the same traits, they all milk a single point for longer in more sophisticated ways, rather than trash everything with innane drivel and insults as our Andyw used to, highlighting his limited intellectual development.

If you look through his posts, you can get some idea of why he's become a byword for obnoxious stupidity. Also, you'll see that he never posted after about four in the afternoon, which led to the theory that he was a schoolkid (his posting career was entirely during the summer holidays) who got thrown off the computer when his mother came home from work.
I'm not sure how the tradition of including him as the last option in polls came about, though

Does AndyW still post on this board? I don't recall seeing any of late from a user with that name.
Why is it AndyW and not Andy?.. was his name actually AndyW? Or is it intended to combine AtW and Andy together in some strange kind of double-person name?
Thanks.

Whose poo is that on your avatar's face? Reminds me of a recurrent dream, I am following Dawn French up an escalator when she undergoes a huge bottom explosion. Bliss. What was the question?

I my opinion option 4 should have been "I am andyw : I only get pocket money"
