    Although I do feel the need to point out that people who are incapable of thinking for themselves have to rely on labels applied by others, so they know what to think.

    They are, IMHO, more to be pitied than censured - although somebody will probably tell them that that should be labelled as a socialist attitude, even though it's for their benefit (and isn't actually socialist).

    In the absence of proper lefites, I'll have to do. Like Tony Benn (and everyone I know on the left), I'm completetly against the Lisbon treaty. It's anti-democratic and will shift power from democratically elected representatives (who imperfect as they are are at least accountable through elections) to an undemocratic central body.
