Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't that always been the case?Originally posted by Board Game Geek View PostThere was a special talent (from a list of many) that you could take, that allowed a character to "readdress" the laws of physics, provided they had a plausible reason to back it up.
Eg, The characters were on foot and being chased by a fleet of Apache Gunships. One character successfully activated his talent and said "Metal is heavier than air".

I've seen the yellow lights go down the MississippiOriginally posted by Addanc View PostI've never seen an electron, but I believe brother!!!!!!!!
I've seen the bridges of the world and they're for real;
I've had a red light off the wrist without me even gettin' kissed
It still seems so unreal.
I've seen the morning in the mountains of Alaska
I've seen the sunset in the east and in the west;
I've sang the glory that was Rome,
And passed the hound dog singer's home;
It still seems for the best.
Chorus
And I'm far, far away
with my head up in the clouds
And I'm far, far away
with my feet down in the crowds
Lettin' loose around the world
But the call of home is loud still as loud
I've seen the Paris lights from high upon Montmartre
And felt the silence hanging low in no mans land;
And all those Spanish nights were fine,
It wasn't only from the wine;
It still seems all in hand.
I've seen the yellow lights go down the Mississippi
The grand Bahama island stories carry on;
And all those arigato smiles
Stay in your memory for a while;
There still seems more to come.
And I'm far, far away
with my head up in the clouds
And I'm far, far away
with my feet down in the crowds
And I'm far, far away
But the sound of home is loud still as loud.
I believe in Slade

In 1991 a pen and paper RPG came out called "Tales of the Floating Vagabond".

<THUD THUD THUD>
<KAB....OOOM!!!>
Oh well, nice use of a talent. Shame he used it just as the choppers were above their heads.

Have you thought that perhaps their teeth were good because their life expectancy was so short they died before they could get any cavities.Originally posted by contractor79 View PostI read something once about a dentist who visited remote tribes around the world, and was stunned at how good their teeth were, obviously they had never seen a dentist previously and had no toothpaste
I just wonder sometimes if we're creating an unecessary reliance

Myth. Or at least, misapplication of formulae. Along the lines of "consider a spherical cow".
