    Agreed. I think the art of programming is about concept and first principles. If you have this, you can program in any language, regardless.

    Mine was hacking into one of the free computer games you got with a vic 20 when I was a kid. Basically, it would pop up words on the screen and you had to guess whether it was a verb, noun or adjective. Educational games, pah!!!
    It just shows that the bulk of programming skill is pretty generic.

    I learned to program on the ZX80.
