I'm quite surprised that no one else has alot more tbh. Its basically what I've accumulated over the last 15 years. I've probably forgotten more about some languages than people know.

Interestingly enough, what was the first programming language anyone attempted anything in?

Mine was hacking into one of the free computer games you got with a vic 20 when I was a kid. Basically, it would pop up words on the screen and you had to guess whether it was a verb, noun or adjective. Educational games, pah!!!

It just shows that the bulk of programming skill is pretty generic.

Agreed. I think the art of programming is about concept and first principles. If you have this, you can program in any language, regardless.
