I've just done mine via Billpay Register and set up an account (category: IR, & your 10 digit UTR found on the front of your tax form).

Im paying it today, for the amount I owe a couple of days interest is probably £5, the IR dont credit me interest for paying early.

I'm just going to pay up through the SA Online website, unless of course the website is saturated beyong the point of use by people trying to submit their SA right at the last moment.

Not sure how close I can cut the payment I do it over the phone on my card, they know they are getting the £ as the payment has to be authorised by my bank, would paying it by card on the 30 Jan be too late ?

    Have you got no Accountant?
No accountant - using brolly then was going to use my own company and get an accountant. However, as going to the dark side, and contract coming to an end, the company has had no money through the books. Bizarre.

It does annoy me a bit how all these forms (SA100, P35, P11d, CT return etc.), and then the payment deadlines, seem to be equally spread throughout the year so I'm always in the middle of one or the other.

When I'm Prime Minister I'll have it so we get them all over with in one go and then enjoy the other 11 months of the year.
