Im waiting till the last minute to pay what I owe but have already submitted the SA.

Not sure how close I can cut the payment I do it over the phone on my card, they know they are getting the £ as the payment has to be authorised by my bank, would paying it by card on the 30 Jan be too late ?

I haven't done anything about my personal tax yet. After I sort out the figures with my accountant, I plan to put cheque in post early next week.

Just pay it over the phone with your debit card, the payment line is 0845 305 1000 and seems to open 24hrs aday, its not automated you do talk to a person. I would think if your posting a cheque in you really need to get in the post tomorrow or Saturday latest, as it needs to get to them and clear.

I'm just going to pay up through the SA Online website, unless of course the website is saturated beyong the point of use by people trying to submit their SA right at the last moment.

Im paying it today, for the amount I owe a couple of days interest is probably £5, the IR dont credit me interest for paying early.

I've just done mine via Billpay Register and set up an account (category: IR, & your 10 digit UTR found on the front of your tax form).
