    I had a very nice doze this afternoon in my garden. It's around 31C here, but a few years ago I planted wisteria and it makes it so shady and cool.

    Lovely.

    You can't beat an English country lane at this time of year on a sunny day with all the cow parsley in full bloom.

    That yellow stuff looks like rape, though, and my missus can't be within a mile of it as it triggers the worst hayfever imaginable.

    Taken this morning on a walk around the local lanes, no tourists, no queues, quiet and peaceful and not yet too hot, but the home office aircon has just gone for the first time this year
