Really, I don’t give a feck what I’m wearing in the gym. Black leggings don’t give much away and no-one notices as I go at the old farts times. That way I get the stepper all to myself.

The staff in my gym are dressed conservatively and aged between their teens and their 50s. Its just a few of the users who think they are on a clothing optional beach or expect a dollar bill in their waistband. Maybe I am getting old?

  • Damn just wear long shorts and a sweat shirt like the boys!

Apparently the reason women don't go to the gym is worrying about putting too much on display in Lycra.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...udy-finds.html

Workout clothes left women worrying about visible sweat marks, while 48 per cent of current gym-goers feared their underwear could be seen through leggings.

Tight-fitting gymwear exposing the outline of women's genitals - often described as a 'camel-toe' - came up as a repeated concern.

One person surveyed said: 'Sometimes if I'm wearing leggings or shorts, I get insecure about camel toe even when wearing appropriate underwear.'
Ladies if you are wearing super tight Lycra the only appropriate underwear to prevent camel-toe is a cricket box.

I was on the treadmill warming up the other day and a girl young enough to be my Daughter/Granddaughter got on the stepper in the row in front on me with a swollen spot / pimple on her left buttock (it was diameter of a pound coin and about 3 high) she then started working out. Thanks to the Lycra that pimple looked like a mini mount Vesuvius.

Sorry Miss I was fixated on the zit, I didn't notice anything else. I was worried if it burst the whole row behind her would be wiped out. Imagine how my obituary would read, "Vetran - sorely missed"!

Us guys wear shorts / sweat trousers long enough so our plums don't drop out in the gym for this reason. Feel free to join us.

If you are worried about your body not looking good the old farts brigade have that area truly mastered! We are well ahead of you!
