    The Vulcan was an amazing aircraft. My Dad was a Vulcan captain and when we lived in Cyprus seeing them flying was an everyday occurrence which never got boring - also Canberra, Lightning, Hercules, Argosy, Whirlwind, Wessex etc - even the Red Arrows came and did their winter training there. What a great life for a young lad: sun, sea, Cold War aircraft

    I didn't have the right camera on me at the time, so my photos don't do it justice, but I remember at the 2016 Farnborough Air Show an A380 doing a flight demo. After take off it went very nearly vertical and then did some superb tight turns. Would have loved to have been on board that!
