There's a free Christmas lunch on Xmas day at a local village near me. Dunno how councils can afford that these days.
PS Mmm. Free. Count me in, I'm a mean old bastard.

Freebies.
Amongst the junk mail that fell through the letterbox the other day was a leaflet from the local garden centre. Get a free illuminated father christmas house!
SWMBO decided she needed a couple of bags of potting compost so demanded we go yesterday and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
We rocked up in the afternoon to find the normally 2/3rd empty car park chocca.
We nabbed a trolley and the 2 bags of compost and go to the checkout. She then decides she wants to go look at something else. Im stood there and notice loads of people coming in, getting their little Santa house and heading to the checkout leaflet in hand.
When she comes back I said look at all these people, just come in to get their freebie without spending anything in here! Are people so strapped for cash after Rach's budget?! Personally, I wouldnt have bothered with the thing even with the 2 purchases we made and certainly wouldnt have driven a couple of miles to get it for nowt.Tags: None
