I can't see why anyone would confuse the charity with the easy group, they're well known to not have a charitable bone in their corporate body.

I can't wait till they go after some Jazz groups!!

The pop group.is weird as no-one would think they are linked to a pop group. A strong quartet or other more traditional arts - yes but a pop group nope.
The fundraiser is one that they should have just kept an eye on.
If they start doing unscrupulous charities or people then that's when they need to take action.
Basically if it may confuse people but people think it's good then leave it.
Reminds me of this:

IMO easy company made the orange an integral part of their branding.
Easy is a common adjective and I don't think it should be protected in and of itself. They chose the word specifically because of its everyday use and meaning.
Thw civil legal system is in a worst state than the criminal one. Costs are prohibitive and procedure far too technical to the point the vast majority of legitimate claims are put off, defeating the entire point.
We need a government agency that will pick up cases like this and be able to refer it to a senior court for a preliminary ruling. Instead we have 1000s of claims over the same point of law costing god knows how much which never reach precedent because costs bully one party to pull out.
ParkingEye v Beavis is a classic case of 10,000s of claims being filed before one claim reached a superior court (the decision was trash but it gave some certainty).

Easy..
Can't give it a longer title as they like threatening people with Court
https://www.theguardian.com/society/...rademark-claim
The head of the charity shopping site easyfundraising has vowed to continue fighting a trademark claim brought by easyGroup, the owners of easyJet, over its name.
The UK’s biggest charity shopping site, which works with brands to donate a percentage of every sale to a worthy cause, was issued with legal proceedings from easyGroup last year.
EasyGroup claims the company name infringes on its “easy” brand, which other companies pay annual royalties to use. The case is scheduled to reach court next summer.
"The paperwork arrived completely out of the blue. EasyJet, bizarrely, used to advertise on our platform,” said easyfundraising’s chief executive, James Moir.
“It has been an incredibly slow and drawn-out process. With this hanging over us, it’s a stress, a distraction, a cost which would be much better spent trying to make our services better,” he said. “But we want to keep fighting and hopefully we’ll be able to do that.”
Easyfundraising said its company trademark had been approved in 2010, and Moir added that “the look, feel, colour and logo” was not remotely similar to the easyGroup branding.
“We find the whole thing incredulous, because there is no crossover and no similarity whatsoever between what we’re doing and any member of easyGroup,” he said.
