Sad & Mad I am happy to help it makes sense for society.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/public...1%2Dyear%2Dold.

Prisoners have much lower levels of literacy than the general population. The most recent data published by the Ministry of Justice shows that 57% of adult prisoners taking initial assessments had literacy levels below those expected of an 11-year-old
    https://www.centreformentalhealth.or...h-care-england
Poor mental health is exceptionally common in prison. 45% of adults in prison have anxiety or depression, 8% have a diagnosis of psychosis, ..
    https://www.gov.uk/government/news/a...nd%20half%20of, up%20and%20down%20the%20country.

Figures show around half of prisoners are addicted to drugs, while crack and heroin addicts account for two-thirds of shoplifting offences and half of burglaries, blighting communities up and down the country.
Not fixing them means more crime.

Bad can rot for all I care!

yes there is a shortage of doctors but therapists take 3 years to train to a junior level. team them with a fully addiction qualified lead and you could start soon. My understanding is AA & GA are mostly run by none qualified people. Having a doctor review their notes shouldn't take long.

These people like many criminals are actually suffering from a disease and need treatment not relabelling. Remember Sad,Mad & Bad.

Paedophiles, Drug, Alcohol & gambling addicts all need help not being pandered to. If sentences even suspended ones included mandatory treatment and tests recidivism would fall dramatically.

Drunk driving = suspended on tag with alcohol monitoring, book car journeys and indicate number plate & driver (obviously not offender). And mandatory counselling Doctor advising parole.
Drug addiction driven crime = tag, weekly tests, counselling with Doctor advising parole.
Gambling= banned from all gambling venues , any who do offer him service to be closed + counselling and debt help.
Paedophiles= banned from access to children (currently done) tagged & mandatory counselling with doctor advising parole.

most just get suspended until they escalate and do something nasty enough to get locked up dealing with it earlier would save money.

    That's racist! You're a racist!

Just thought I'd take a lesson from your book - just to see if I can trigger the "Faux-Offended" gene...

Nope, didn't work, out of interest, did you have an implant when you became a moderator or have you always been an indignant clueless arse?

started a topic They will be confused with NLyUK!

They will be confused with NLyUK!

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...xperience.html

Now calling criminals 'convicts' is offensive: Prison service tells warders to drop the phrase 'ex-con' and instead call them 'persons with lived experience'
    • Officers also been instructed to drop 'ex-con' for the preferred 'former prisoners'
    • Edict has left staff shaking heads at a time jails dealing with record overcrowding
    Mad, Mad I tell you!

Working...
