Is the contracting market busy at the moment?

The reason I ask is this:
I have spent the morning clearing down the week's non-urgent emails.
I have had 30 emails (granted they probably spammed their entire database!) from 30 different agencies with "job specs". These job specs vary from £200 inside to £1200/day inside.
Now, heres the thing. I haven't sent a CV to an agency since this time in 2013! 9 years ago! My Current CV is completely different to my CV back then as well.
Just wondering why they are blind spamming me?
