Two men have been arrested in connection with a spate of reports of drug-spiking involving needles in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire police said the men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to administer poison after they received information from a member of the public on Wednesday.

This is double terrifying, the stab, the drug and dirty needles. Almost as though someone wants women to stay at home.

Be Careful Clubbing Out There!
Apparently it is also happening to those who are non-binary and young men so it isn't a woman only issue.

There are renewed safety fears for women following multiple reports they are being spiked by needles in nightclubs across the UK.
So far, police forces in Nottingham, Leeds and Edinburgh are investigating more than a dozen ‘terrifying’ incidents of women being injected with a drug.
Zara Owen, a first-year student in Nottingham, was one of the first victims to come forward with her story.
In a post on Facebook nearly a week ago, she shared about blacking out shortly after arriving at a nightclub on October 10.
The 19-year-old says that the next thing she remembers is waking up in her bed with a ‘sharp, agonising pain’ in her leg, a limp and no memory after a certain point.
Since then, a number of women, most of which are students, have claimed they were attacked with needles while clubbing in widely-shared posts on social media.
Where in the UK have the needle spikings been?
Nottinghamshire Police has received 12 reports of people’s drinks being spiked since September 4, with the largest number being made last weekend.
Its first report of someone being spiked with ‘something sharp’ was made on October 2, and Nottinghamshire Police is currently investigating 12 cases like this.
Officers in Scotland are also carrying out inquiries, and a small number of reports from the Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow areas are being investigated.
While the reports have not been verified yet, a charity CEO has highlighted that the number of cases of drink spiking is only going up.
Helena Conibear, CEO at The Alcohol Education Trust, pointed out in an interview with Metro.co.uk that spiking with injections is a ‘very recent phenomenon’.
She said: ‘This is such a recent phenomenon that we are finding it very hard to get some concrete evidence.
‘This is very, very new and the main cases have been in Nottingham and Scotland.
