People who don’t have pretty special aptitude towards driving HGVs should not be given license to do so - it’s like going back to draft - will get riff-raff with guns training

The government should also be prepared that there may well be a rise in unemployment when furlough ends because the scheme was supporting unviable jobs. If that comes as a surprise to Dishy then he's an idiot too.
The scheme has been winding up with companies required to contribute more towards the payments so what more transition is needed?
You remember Andrew Lloyd Webber's opening the theatre against lockdown provisions & the government U-turn. Watch how they bend over for 1.9million voters on the dole.
Well on furlough the employer contributes 20% up until September I would have ramped it to 60/80% over time combined with retraining and job creation so we don't have a massive lump of redundancies at the end of September. Imagine being on furlough and being offered free HGV training etc.?

Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak both said recently that they do not want to extend furlough again.
"On the basis of what we can see now in the data... we don't think we'll need to change," the Prime Minister said on 14 June.
But if the data changes, and a large new wave of infections leads to further restrictions, the government will come under a lot of pressure to reconsider.
Will unemployment rise after furlough ends?
Some employers with workers on furlough may find that they cannot afford to keep them on.
International travel, and other businesses which depend on it, are still seriously disrupted. Some furloughed workers in these areas may lose their jobs.
Many forecasters, including those at the Bank of England and the government's spending watchdog, the Office for Budget Responsibility, are expecting a small rise in unemployment after furlough ends.
According to the most recent figures (up to 30 June):- About 1.9 million were on furlough (down from a peak of 5.1m in January)
- About 28% of employers had staff on furlough, down from 30% at the end of May
- There are now more men on furlough than women (960,000 men versus 880,000 women)
- The accommodation and food services sector saw the biggest reduction in the number of jobs on furlough in June (down 291,900)
- Arts and entertainment saw the highest rate of jobs being put on furlough in June
