I used to work with a contractor who over leveraged in property before 2008.
He maxed out the mortgage on his main residence to buy more property.
His stress levels were through the roof in 09 and he would disappear to his car on a regular basis to 'destress' and on a few occasions forget to wipe off the 'nose candy' before his return.
I would try and reassure him that the housing market would be making new highs within ten years, it happened much sooner than that.
