Not sure if they're taking off, because I don't bother with social media. But there are open source platforms now like Mastodon, which is part of Fediverse

Possible that it is mastadon underneath it.

The fediverse/mastodon branches will take down Twitter in a couple of years.
Team Trump Quietly Launches New Social Media Platform | Newsmax.com

Donald actually called me up a few minutes after I posted that. Wanted my advice.

He will join in a few months, once they have scaled it, the site will eventually get 50-100 million users. Twitter were idiots chucking him out, it's fairly easy to set these things up now and they are losing tens of millions of users each time it happens. Older people with disposable income.

Signal did deliberately break the advert policies to get banned. Someone on here probably runs the campaigns

He launched his own platform now anyway. "From the desk of Donald Trump"... you can see his posts (nobody else's) and like them. I think those are the only options so as social networks go it's a bit limited.

At least he can still post on CUK. We do have some morals and standards, but they're lower than FaceTwits, and long may that remain so...

If he 'officially' joins gab in 6 months, both FB and Twitter will feel that.
I heard that for most young people these days using Facebook is about as appealing as a saturday night WW2 sing-song down at the Derby and Jones club.

    It's for their parents' generation.
