This extra 3000 is nothing - it sounds like the equivalent of the Australian working holiday scheme, albeit no one from this country is going to want to go and work in India for 2 years, and I rather doubt the Indians that come over here will be working behind a bar in Earls Court.
The much bigger problem is the new points based immigration route and employer sponsorship schemes that will see hundreds of thousands coming over from the sub-continent.

1 billion worth of sales isn't 1 billion worth of profit taxable at income tax rates.

At £100k per IT job that's easily £150 mln tax, vs potentially feck all from this trade.

I find it doubtful there will be many British IT professionals moving the India way, so not much UK benefit there.

From watching outsourcers in action the managers do SFA and bully their underlings.

Saw it in the news today. They are going to make it lot easier for skilled IT people from india to come and work here.
