    Superb news for UK IT contractors!

    UK government are going to make it a LOT easier for IT workers to head to India and work if they want to.

    Saw it in the news today. They are going to make it lot easier for skilled IT people from india to come and work here.

        Who on earth would want to work like a slave in India ?
        What was the govt thinking? What about your own workers here? Should we all become builders ?

            If you are white guys you would be their managers.

            From watching outsourcers in action the managers do SFA and bully their underlings.

              its worse if you get a different caste manager. Some of the teams I have seen had a manager that would have lost his teeth if managing Brits that way.

                  the deal boils down to, we get 1 billion worth of business. They get 3000 extra IT people coming here, or perhaps 3000 UK people lose jobs, they would have got.

                  If you divide 1 billion by 3000, then that is £333,333 worth of business per worker lost. Not a bad deal on the face of it. Leaves some money to pay for the benefits....

                  I find it doubtful there will be many British IT professionals moving the India way, so not much UK benefit there.
