    There is no 'post covid'.

Covid will continue to mutate, requiring new improved vaccine booster shots on a regular basis for the vulnerable. So while the impact health wise may not be like flu the lasting effect on daily life will be.

Post covid in terms of no longer living with unsustainable restrictions to health care, travel, and socialising will only exist when society evolves to live with it.

First step, bulk order a hazmat suit for everyone to wear outdoors, whether working or shopping, then everything can open.

I think the majority of the populate would quite happily put a wall around everyone of those and leave them to their own devices. We'll open the gates in a few years to see what's left... and then probably close them again.

I don't think City's are doomed. But there are very few cities in the UK.

    UK's only real city
    London

    Almost proper cities
    Brum
    Leeds
    Manc (*cough* *scum*)
    Cardiff
    Edinburgh
    Glasgow
York (not sure if this should be one tier lower though, as only 30 mins from Leeds but the farmers like it)
    Newcastle

Not quite cities but have redeeming qualities
    Liverpool
    Sheffield
    Nottingham
    Norwich
Belfast (too close to Dublin IMO)
    Lincoln
    Lancaster
    Bristol

Pretend cities too close to larger cities, and next to die after Swindon et al.
    Derby
Bradford (not far off dead already)
    Swansea
    Coventry
    Sunderland

I count myself lucky, since I'm not in retail, and I live between Bracknell and Guildford, a bit north of Basingstoke.

So no restaurants, museums, theatre post Covid? The point is that there will be, but still concentrated in the bigger cities. London is always going to attract people for those reasons, to live and as tourists. The towns you listed originally are overwhelmingly dormitory towns for London, the main attraction being cheaper housing and a fast commute. Without the commute, the appeal diminishes - in many cases to zero. If the only other thing providing work there is retail, then you are doubly stuffed.

I can still see the attraction of living in a big city post-Covid, for the restaurants, the culture, the general buzz. I can see the attraction of living in a village, or the countryside, and working from home. I struggle to see any reason outside of work why anyone would want to live in the towns listed.
