He's been banging on about how bad the previous administration was and much of his social media has lies. He's using the Trump playbook, even down to his videos and images and massive amount of tweets:
The Senate, not Congress, but that would be the whole point - for the Senate to then vote with 2/3rds majority and then choose the additional penalty, which may involve a ban on holding the office in future. Except that they won't get a 2/3rds majority in the Senate, so it's either a waste of time or contrary to their interests.
It’s about getting names of those who voted on record
Impeachment doesn't stop one for running for office, that was fake news spread on twitter. A separate vote in the Congress is needed for that

Unless he is impeached and he can't run for any public office any more.
I can see a massive GOP split, with Donny taking half the base with him to form a new "Trump" party, but all it will be is rallies over the US, but nothing else.
Just rallies where Donny abuses everyone. Bit like the last four years.

"Vice President Mike Pence is hoping to spend his remaining days in office making sure that the world understands the US still has a "fully functioning" government," a source close to the vice president said."

Which is why it doesn't really make sense for the dems to impeach They should take the long view - he may well run as an independent...

The next Republican to stand for President will be Pompeo. If you check his Twitter feed recently it's full of self promotion about all the 'good' things he has undertaken along with very slick videos about his work
