But what's the problem, budget of £10 is not enough for you to achieve set objectives?

What if it was upped to £5 bln per year, would that be ok?

OK, so perhaps you would listen to someone who spent several years running a major microbiology lab in a big hospital group and who was forced under PHE control when the old (and very effective HCA, plus all the regional labs and assorted other groups) was closed down. Because that's who I'm married to.

That's it. It's patently clear they've failed to do either. Even the idiot Hancock realised that, hence their dissolution.

The new group have a closer remit, to improve health outcomes and reduce diseases. With many of the same incompetents in charge, 'm not hopeful they will fare any better.

Get your facts right for once. Then perhaps we could have a rational argument.

Well let's start with HMG telling PHE what to do. PHE had a charter to fulfil and they failed dismally. All by themselves. And in the process they wrecked quite a lot of what used to be good about the NHS's critical support services such as microbiology, virology and the rest (the ones you never hear about - not all the NHS and doctors and nurses) with failures in procurement, staffing and policy across the board.

    Lets check immigration under Boris.

Migration Statistics Quarterly Report - Office for National Statistics

Over the year, 677,000 people moved to the UK (immigration)
An estimated 270,000 more people moved to the UK with an intention to stay for 12 months or more than left the UK (net migration).
Net migration under Boris was higher than at any point under Blair.

You would know all about the low skilled. You can tell them apart as they read the Express.
