You lot have got to die of something.Originally posted by DealorNoDeal View PostFrom what I'm hearing from scientists, covid could be a bit like the flu virus.
A vacine for covid may only be 50% effective (like the flu vacine).
After having had covid, immunity may only last a few months.
Covid may be with us for a very long time. It could keep flaring up year after year (like the flu).
There is some anecdotal evidence that getting covid a 2nd time could be worse than the 1st.
Maybe the best hope isn't a vacine but better ways of treating it.
Anyway, we're all doomed.

Starbucks et al tends to use immigrants in London. Having visited similar establishments in smaller towns in the SE I understand why, so they would be too stupid to work in Starbucks.Originally posted by Uncle Albert View PostGreat. “ Coronavirus could age the brain by 10 years or cause IQ to fall
Survivors of coronavirus could be at risk of lasting mental damage as a study found that in the worst cases it can trigger cognitive decline equivalent to the brain ageing ten years or an 8.5-point drop in IQ.
The “brain fog” reported by many sufferers weeks and months after recovering from the disease could be a symptom of more serious cognitive deficits, scientists say.
Research involving 84,285 people who had recovered from confirmed or suspected Covid-19 found that damage to the brain happened in varying levels depending on the severity of the disease. Further work is needed to identify how long this lasts.“
