There is probably a great market for building electric submarines that could carry cargo long distance and move autonomously from A to B.

Though to be fair you have found 2nd solution - move into the middle of nowhere, 12 hour flights to go on holiday anywhere other than New Zealand, lots of deadly insects, crocodiles, snakes - yeah, BUT you'll have less of them unskilled, uneducated immigrants.

    Did I miss anything?

If not then feck off to Australia, I hear VB6 is a shortage occupation there, so you will fit right in with your Clipper skills.

Last Labour Govt (before Brown who was placeholder) was awesome - 40% max income tax, taper relief on CGT, 5-6% savings rate in banks, CUK full of witty and insightful posts - what’s not to like?

The only way to stop low skilled immigration is to become as poor as the countries these people come from - I guess Tory Govt might actually achieve that

And who run the policy to deindustrialise the country in favour of “services” like pubs?

Isn't it a banning offence, mentioning the B word Specifically In General?

In addition it's not really a Tory Government, more an ERG Government led by someone who seems to have taken cronyism and corruption lessons from dictators abroad.
