Now they may have changed their tune as they realised how stupid they sound. Remember how the NAZIs changed their propaganda to reel people in. The founders of BLM are pretty dodgy.
I thought BLM wanted to disband the Police yet they have armed guards that seem to shoot first then run away?
So the only reason the Camden Police department was rebooted by closing down & starting up is the unions were against a root & branch reform? Maybe they need to force the change across the US including overriding unions.
It seems it is still an experiment in progress and crime is still high.
As mentioned previously a federal IOPC seems to be what the US needs.
I do think something useful can come out of this protest in the US, they seem to have a real issue with police brutality that they need to do something about but handing over to BLM is not the way.
In the first shooting, which happened in the early hours of 20 June, a 19-year-old man called Horace Lorenzo Anderson was killed and a 33-year-old man was injured.A second shooting the next day left a 17-year-old boy injured, and another person was wounded in a third shooting two days later. After the latest violence city officials have said they are considering dismantling Chop, and reopening a police station in the area that was abandoned by officers when the zone was first set up. Chief Carmen Best, from the Seattle Police Department, said they had found a white Jeep "riddled with bullet holes" near one of the concrete barriers to Chop. She also accused protesters and residents of "not being cooperative with our requests for help", and said the zone was now "not safe for anybody".
Members of CHOP security openly carry around pistols and other weapons. One member has previously been seen brandishing an AK-47. In a previous fatal shooting in the zone, a 19-year-old black man was killed on June 20 and a 33-year-old man was wounded. Best said the violence that came just over a week after the other shooting in the zone was 'dangerous and unacceptable'. 'Enough is enough,' Best said. 'We need to be able to get back into the area.' 'Two African American men dead at a place where they claim to be working for Black Lives Matter. But they're gone, they're dead now and we've had multiple other incidents - assaults, rape, robbery, shootings - and so this is something that's going to need to change.. 'We're asking that people remove themselves from this area for the safety of the people, if they care about people, they're going to have to try to help us to make it safe,' Best added. 'There are people who live here, there are multiple people being injured and hurt, and we need to do something about it. Is it absolutely irresponsible for this to continue.'
