Never underestimate the English public’s almost masochistic desire to be treated with contempt, or their ability to shallow copious amounts of bulltulip, providing it’s fed to them from one of the members of the `ruling caste’.
It doesn’t matter if the upper class twerp isn’t very bright, lacks judgment, lies constantly and is completely amoral. If an election is held tomorrow, Boris will have a bigger landslide because he has been handing over free money to the entire nation for sitting at home and drinking beer. Over at mumsnet they even want to marry Rishi Sunak and are forming a queue because they cannot believe their luck. People are getting more money for sitting at home than they ever earned by working.
