As someone in the Guardian said recently..
Of course England will vote Boris back in.Never underestimate the English public’s almost masochistic desire to be treated with contempt, or their ability to shallow copious amounts of bulltulip, providing it’s fed to them from one of the members of the `ruling caste’.
It doesn’t matter if the upper class twerp isn’t very bright, lacks judgment, lies constantly and is completely amoral. Providing he can spout Latin no one can understand, and is a bit of a card, and can pretend to laugh at himself, then all boxes are ticked.Last edited by scooterscot; 28 May 2020, 09:08.

That's because they fancy Rishi. He also looks competent as he worked with the unions and opposition.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostIf an election is held tomorrow, Boris will have a bigger landslide because he has been handing over free money to the entire nation for sitting at home and drinking beer. Over at mumsnet they even want to marry Rishi Sunak and are forming a queue because they cannot believe their luck. People are getting more money for sitting at home than they ever earned by working.
Loads prefer Kier Starmer as a leader.

Entire nation minus self-employed. If self-employed have decided they will no longer vote for conservatives - because let's face it, Boris just kicked all of them in the teeth and they will not have money to get them fixed - even the Labour communist proposals were not as bad as what this government did, then Boris may pack his bags.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostIf an election is held tomorrow, Boris will have a bigger landslide because he has been handing over free money to the entire nation for sitting at home and drinking beer. Which is why Tony "the third way" Blair won 3 general elections.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostI may vote Labour next time, especially if Starmer fails to eliminate the Momentum Mob who have almost taken it over.
Only because once a generation, idiot Labour voters have to be reminded the hard way that socialism fails every time it is tried.

Are you not worried that you could be sent to Labour camps together with other entrepreneurs?Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostI may vote Labour next time, especially if Starmer fails to eliminate the Momentum Mob who have almost taken it over.

I think they will be voted in, because there is no alternative. Who else can you vote for? Every other option is worse than the Tories.Originally posted by PCTNN View PostThe tories will be voted in again with no problems because the majority of their voters have too low IQ to understand what's going on, while the ex tory voters won't know/decide what to do and will probably just end up staying home and not voting at all.
