That's how it reads to me.

This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. . . .Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. . . .
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.
The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

More recently 9/11 is a big smoking gun ... again the official story is ridiculous ..thousands of professional pilots have stated the reported maneuvers are impossible ...thousands of professional architects and engineers have said planes could not cause these towers to collapse https://www. ae911truth.org/
The way the towers turned mostly to dust suggests the use of exotic weaponry ... see the work of Dr Judy Wood Dr Judy Wood – "Know What it is that You Know that You Know"
Icke has written two one thousand page books just on 9/11

I worked for a Lloyd's of London agency at the time and our underwriters modeled this exact scenario (planes flying into the twin towers and bringing them down). The owners of the towers took out insurance for such an act (although they only insured against one tower going down, not both, more fool them).
The explanation of the attack is quite simple - 2 planes, both full of fuel, smash into buildings. Fuel ignites and causes fires. Fires take out floor after floor. This causes a domino effect as the higher floors come crashing down onto lower floors. I'm really surprised the 'experts' who question this don't understand how it happened - maybe they should speak to the experts in Al Qaeda as they got it just about bob on
