    They're selling sod-all too. They and B&Q have decided for us to only sell 'essential' things where they decide 'essential' basically means things for tradespeople to carry on working.

    El Gov say we should buy online, our biggest online DIY retailers then decide not to sell. So I have to pop to my local hardware store in person.

    Back OT: maybe he needed windows urgently because he was refitting and had a hole in his house

    From the plethora of Homebase emails I'm receiving I think they may have shut up shop. You are better of going to one of the DIY places that have a trade counter as well as they will be open.

    I suspect he didn't realise / think about where in the car he would need to put the windows when he left on the outward journey.
