but seriously, the past couple of months have been terrible. Surely we only have a couple more weeks of this tulipshow before it gets better..... unless the Corona virus kills a lot of people.
I usually get 3 to 5 calls a day from agencies (this is my metric of a good day on the bench). The last 2 months were dead and I was lucky to get one call.
I am on now 2 or 3 calls a day.
Light at the end of the tunnel and all that.
Q. how are you still on the bench if you're getting 3 - 5 calls a day off agencies (or 2-3 for that matter)?
The war chest is almost empty, but I am starting to get recruiters calling me and even had an interview yesterday.
Looks like Brexit is going bugger things up massively and that will need a lot of contractors to sort out; IR35 madness is coming to its peak; Corona virus pandemic means we get to work from home (if we get the work).
