    Yes. Cultures where these things go on are the ones where women are not respected and viewed as less than second class citizens. If a man who isn't their husband looks at them or touches them then it's usually the woman who is blamed and punished for being too attractive. That's why the majority of victims of honour killings are women.

    Well I kind of thought that potentially having a man interested in having sex with you could be a good thing - maybe lead to a family or kids.

    Or is the implication that the sex may not be 100% consensual?
