    This does exist but there's often a lag and only some sites have it implemented.

    Well normally one can bellow "advisor" a few times and be put through to a human.

    But I wouldn't try that at your place, or a couple of advisors will rush into the room to see if they can help!

    If one ignores the questions then quite often the system defaults to putting the call through to a human when it doesn't receive an instruction. They're usually very pleased to hear from me too - not sure if that would apply to you plebs as well though.

    Good idea. In a similar vein, ATMs, post offices, banks etc. should have a separate queue for people who want to **** about rather than just get in with it.

    I would add to that having a button you can press to punch the human being behind the call, and get them to pick up the phone.

    Just have your mobile pause a second or two before entering more digits? That's what I do when I'm using my mobile to dial in to conf bridges.
