Weekend Thread - whats happening ?

18th Birthday tonight. I'm a dirty old man, one lass who was the 18 year old's friend was in a dress so tight you could see bumps where her moles were, medium mountains for other things. Unfortunately she had forgotten to purchase a bra so I spent the evening betting with the 18 year old's stepdad a quid a nipple peek. I won! Please ladies get your mum to wear the dress so I feel like less of a perv or don't dance to "shake your tail feather" with your baps unsecured.

Best songs were older than most of the teenagers, Lil Richard, Aretha, Ray Charles & Be E King were happily danced to.


Tomorrow doing a sampler and helping a mate with his car.

Sunday Mrs V is off to France with her mate on a booze cruise. I have mini V to the swimming lesson, up to FIL's to lay some slabs & the club run for miss v2.

Anybody off to Salisbury Cathedral?

In case you don't know The height of the combined tower and spire from ground level is 123m/404ft, the tallest in England. Octagonal in shape with a height of 55m/180ft.

Lincoln Cathedral's spire used to be higher, and for centuries it was the tallest building in the World.

Then one day in the 1820s a large crack appeared in the nave wall below the spire, almost visibly widening, and loud groaning noises were heard echoing through the cathedral.

Somehow, feck knows how, the dean or bishop immediately persuaded a load of workmen to swarm up the spire and start demolishing it, which they did at breakneck speed in a day or two.

So now, alas, Lincoln cathedral no longer has its spire, although it still has its tall towers.

Last time I was in Lincoln I missed the roof tour, which after all the way I'd come was most vexing!

It is best to go in the summer. We went in the winter months but there was slush on the ground, so we turned around and got the train to London. We were only there for 1 hour. It is a shame because I was excited to see the 123m spire at Salisbury Cathedral.

I'm taking the kids to the circus tomorrow, they are very excited. (no animals involved apart from one horse and a dog).

I enjoyed it last year.
