    Only fools and horses work.

The smart way of getting by in the UK is to leave school at the earliest opportunity having done nothing more than have a laugh, shack up with some like minded bird, have a few kids, and live on the benefits that make you as well off as middle income 'hard working families'. At worst one of you does a part time job (no more than 16 hours a week) to get working tax credits.

Alternatively, go to uni and leave with massive debt then slave away doing long hours in a job you hate, having to commute via packed roads or trains, brainwashed into thinking it's a career and your efforts will be rewarded at 'performance review', while the board is run by the old boys network with CEOs that flit between companies whenever their charade looks like being exposed. Then pay a multitude of taxes to support the rest. No wonder they have to get up to their eyeballs in debt just to afford shelter, food, and a reasonable standard of living for the effort they put in. Fook that.

Until the system is rebalanced where work is rewarded more than the alternatives it really is a mug's game.

If Hammond wants a pot of gold, try Swindon.

Who in their right minds likes any government? Hate a bit less than others maybe.
