Point 1 - I'm not a Yorkshireman - Unlike my Sister-in-law I live north of the Tees.
Point 2 - Prior to making the offer I had checked that none of them was in a position to take me up on the offer...
Point 3 - the time specified is to ensure the offer couldn't be gamed by making other attendees mods.
The plan wasn't to create an offer that required a financial contribution - it was to create an offer that looked good but couldn't be acted upon..
