    If they want references then anyone who has known you for a few years who isn't related to you and is in a decent sounding profession will do. Plus if you volunteer for anything the organiser would be a good reference.

    If they insist they have to be former end-clients then ignore them.

    Kind of set alarm bells going for me. Whats the deal with NI/Passport information when working through your own Limited company?

    Just been asked for this info for a new contract role:

    1. Full Name
    2. Address, Personal Email, Telephone Number,
    3. Notice period
    4. 3 references (won't be contacted without your permission to do so.
    5. Right to work in U.K. - passport and national insurance number.
    6. Date of Birth
    7.scanned copy of passport

    Kind of set alarm bells going for me. Whats the deal with NI/Passport information when working through your own Limited company?
