I saw the thread title and thought - we've already got that thread:

Turns out I was wrong, thankfully.

I would guess it was more likely clumsily and immoderately phrased xenophobia (with perhaps some sexism thrown in) rather than racism as such.

This guy, and a lot of other Brexiters, would probably be just as outraged if the claimant had been French or German instead of from Guyana.

only when MF was on his apprenticeship with NLYUK, he thought they were looking for an aeronautical engineer when they asked for 'Airtight'.

Because if you tag the whole context with the label "Brexit", then a goodly tinge of Racism is implied.

I just heard from DP. He slipped the arresting officers a gold bar to arrest the owner of the takeaway below his penthouse love nest.

It wouldn't be the first time somebody on social media has chosen racial abuse in place of reasoned argument about a political issue, so perhaps you should consider the possibility that some of those who support Brexit are also overt racists
More likely there are racists on both sides

I find it strange that Gisela Gschaider a 1974 immigrant from Germany is on the brexit panel telling us British what we should do .
but of course remnants couldn't possibly be unpleasant.

Your reasoning is entirely reasonable. There are plenty of morons out there who don't even know where the line is, let alone knowing when and when not to cross it. I would take issue with you on a small point; Brexit was about cutting ties with the EU, some of those who supported the concept may well be racists, but when Brexit happens all they are doing is excluding mostly white people (Europeans) from coming here freely, and the other side of the same coin will be greater immigration from places like India. Some people just don't think things through...

Perhaps that's why they've charged him with a racial offence rather than any other sort of offence.

No we don't, which is precisely the point I was trying to make. Why publish it as "racially motivated" when upon reading it, there's no indication of a racial motive?
