Any recommendations as a car ?
I am homing in on one of these, as how found a 2 year deal (3+23) for sub £200/month, with 7.0p excess mileage.
    Looking to order next week

The excess mileage will be 7.2p a mile (you can usually get that down to 4p or so if you speak nicely to VWFS at the right time, roughly 12 months into the contract)... Also always go for the 5000 mile option and pay the 7.2p surplus its cheaper and avoids paying for mileage you may not use...
And have done the sums and this is a good approach as lower mileage + potential surplus excess = less than monthly lease with the higher mileage included.

Ah, so it's probably end-of-line model. Still, very cheap at less than £200/month for a decent spec.

It's got hidden door handles for the rear doors. One of its few nice touches. Otherwise it's a mediocre car without the charisma of previous Alfas.

Leasing costs Mazda also seem lower than the Alfa.

Nope..... You just need to understand how leasing works - it's used by the manufacturers to get cars they want built built so focus on what has an offer on and don't be 100% fussy about what you are getting....

Also note options cost a fortune as you will be paying for them over the cost of the lease....

It's however, probably worth paying the extra £10 a month for Seat Sound and possibly the Safety pack.... £20 for ACC may be worth it depending on your commute to work (its nice to go on a motorway not to need to worry about the speed of the car in front of you)...

Had I not get the deal I got back in March, one of these would be on my drive come September.....

I like the way Mazdas drive.
Probably (with Ford) the best of the mainstream brands, given the limitations of front-wheel drive.
Although the lease cost seems a bit steep for a smallish car? Not that I know about leasing.
