I always confuse the Peak District with the Lake district, but they couldn't be more different as one presumably has peaks and the other has lakes.

But you could always visit Grasmere, and see the spot where Wordsworth wrote his poem about the daffodils.

These boys are worth a visit: Bradfield Brewery – Real Ale brewed in the heart of Yorkshire

You'll probably find loads of their brews in the pubs around there. If you like it you can get 5l mini kegs direct from the shop there. It says on the website its £2 a pint in the brewery tap, but i've never been so can't recommend. Scenic place too.

It has a lovely pub called the Navigation.
We used to be moored at New Mills so have been to the Navigation a few times. Proper pub.

Spooky. I used to live in Buxworth. It has a lovely pub called the Navigation. It was called Buggesworth but some dude thought people would be worried the place was bug infested and changed it to Buxworth. There was a local ballot I was included with to decide to change back to Buggesworth or to keep as Buxworth around 20 years ago when I lived there!

Of course because those countries whose economy is based mainly on tourism are going to chop off that income stream...
