Being elderly, death seems like a good option. At least it does at the moment, after my daughter forced me to watch the final of Britain's got no talent.

It is regularly claimed that medicine is on the point of getting people to live to 150. From which point being 1000 is apparently possible.

Simply because not all bacteria are the same.

The world's birth rate is actually falling. Countries who have a tendency to have lots of children are having less once the women get educated. You only need to give them primary education to make a significant difference.

The reason while the population is increasing is people are living longer. The number of people 85+ around the world has increased especially in developed countries.

So if you want the population to decrease you need to kill of old people.

Well you are advocating the death of many people so we may as well include you in it.

Do you think this is really the case, or is it a bit like Moore's law - every generation of new CPUs we're told "this is the end of miniaturization because of physical laws" and then they go and find a new trick? We've been hearing about super-resistant-germ DOOM for quite a number of years but is it still on the same timeline as predicted or does it keep getting pushed when the headlines draw funding?

We need nano-tech to come ASAP, that's my view.

Yes, according to the internet, everyone has brain cancer.

Strangely enough, it may soon be true....
