Previously on "how can apple samsung justify their prices ?????????"
Well aware that if I get a new S7 the contract will cost me £20 more than a sim only to, in effect, pay for the damn phone over the 2 years....
So of course, might be better to buy an alternative phone (and put it through the company) and then get a sim only contract. In the past, although it might have changed now, getting a business tariff through the business was just a waste of time.
Any recommendations for a phone "as good as" the S7???

Certainly not just a high benchmark score. Is an i7 in a beige box that rattles like an A/C unit as good as an iMac of the same spec?
it`s not just numbers xiaomi is the 3rd largest phone maker in the world , nothing comes close for the price
quidco tracked at £15 this morning so a very high spec well made phone is costing me £127 , once i sell my sony c4 for £140 it costs me nothing to change every 6 months .
throw in a 3 payg sim card that never expires its credit after 30days and it costs virtually nothing.
phone contracts are just loans on overpriced handsets.
Been to waitrose overpriced tulip no better than lidl tesco, full of pretentious morons with iphones.
Had a mercedes cls 50k new price for it , very overpriced not much quality in the end product weak diesel engine, tulip slow reacting 7g gearbox
Had apple phone not much difference from cheaper offerings apple is all about marketing quality is the same .
Had omega watch , never wore it ended up in it`s box for 5 years , who needs a watch anyway ? look at your phone.
smart swiss watch market will die out in the end
i have yet to drive a car that does not rattle creak , once one is made i will assume that is a quality product. Could be a long wait.

As a rule I wouldn't buy the cheapest thing because it must be cheap for a reason, and that would be stupid. But on the other hand buying the most expensive thing simply because it's expensive is pretty dumb too. If you're smart you judge things on bang for buck.
That's my philosophy. Though I do wear a £10 Casio digital watch.
Lots of people do otherwise they wouldn't still sell them.
Doubtless you own at least one thing which is not totally bottom-of-the-range / cheapest. So welcome to the Stupid club
