I'm still scared shiitless at the end of 'The Signalman' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Signalman_(film) even though it's only a crappy mask painted white.
It's on YouTube; if you know Spanish there are better quality versions than this one with English subtitles:
To be honest, it's brilliant even if you don't understand a word - the actions, expressions, gestures and so forth are all you need to understand exactly what's going on, which is pretty damn good filmmaking in its own right.
But oh my, it gets scary…

Here's the TV Cream entry.
TV Cream Journey to the Unknown
Sounds pretty good.
Recently been watching the Shadow of the Noose, late 80s courtroom/historical drama, fact based. Good but never repeated.

Sapphire and Steel? Seem to remember something about an episode with a mirror showing an alternate reality.
If it was American then The Twilight Zone, or The Outer Limits.

Help! Name the TV Show/Film....
I think I saw it in the mid-70's on telly, so could have been made earlier, reasonably sure it was in colour, and was some sort of compendium of mini-horror stories, well, more mysteries really.
The one I remember was this guy in this house, and during certain times when he looked in this mirror, he could see another reality in it, I remember in the mirror it was a different room, with a fireplace and chair, seemingly 16/17th Century, and this bloke dressed in that period and had a limp just coming in every so often and going out, and the guy on this side of the mirror could see him going off into another room, but not quite enough for any clues. Can't remember how it panned out but I presume it was more interesting than what I've described so far!
99% certain the actor playing the guy in the mirror was Patrick Allen, of Barratt Homes helicopter fame. IMDB lists a few possibles, but they're either all old, too vague or no copies exist anymore, all lost.
Hope someone can help!Tags: None
