This is not exactly news. There's been plenty of heroic actions from Muslims towards Christians and visa versa - for example, Christians sheltering their Muslim neighbours in India when the Hindu nationalists went on the rampage. That's because, regardless of religion, some folk are just decent - and know what it is like to be treated like crap.

More appropriation of pagan imagery. On the other hand, Christians like C.S.Lewis consider paganism to merely be echoes and reflections of the reality.

I don't believe the KKK ever said they were Christians? But Islamic State terrorists say that they are muslims.
