Seems to be common enough among us old farts too. Heard stories from ladies in recent weeks about how they or their daughter's partners just walked out, no contact with them or their children Thought I was a bit of a psycho but can't imagine doing that.

Ultimately though, he wanted to get married and I didn’t. He wanted our relationship to move forward, whereas I was very happy with the dinners out and not-too-much-commitment status quo.
