There is only one real democracy - Switzerland.

People decide real issues on regular referendums.

The very same people got lots of guns just in case some scum in Govt would want to usurp control.

Now THAT IS the real democracy, do not accept any substitutes!

Since 2010 alone,British authorities are estimated by CAAT to have presided over the sale of £42 million worth of military wares to the Middle Eastern state.

Nuclear weapons are built as a show of power and a deterrent.

Conventional weapons are built to maintain the imbalance of power that is needed to create further conflict and provide an opportunity to sell more weapons.

    Why do people buy anything.

in the case of US politicians - they are funded by said companies when campaigning to get into office there for owned by them.

Just Google 'military industrial complex' for more details.

Our arms industry is also pretty robust - we sold all those bombs to Israel that are so effective at destroying hospitals and school playgrounds...

In a normal war you sell arms before it, during it, and after.
In a normal war, after it is over the rebuilding of infrastructure etc can start straight away (send for Haliburton).
Nuclear war just involves sales to one side before it and no sales during or after.
Nuclear war would result in several years of delays before rebuilding. The shareholders will not wait years, they demand immediate profits.

That's right they are coming for you and if we don't bomb them into the stone age they will be on our shores. They will also carry out attacks here therefore we need to eavesdrop on all your communications"

    Here's another one:

"Russia wants to expand and will take over the world if we don't beef up NATO, put bases encircling Russia and update all our nukes to the cost of £100BN - oh yeah and meet the NATO spending requirements"

Weapons manufacturing is a for-profit business - these business owners along with oil companies, banks etc own US politicians. This is not a conspiracy theory but a widely accepted truth.

Defence/war spending is pretty much a transfer of money from tax payers to profiteering companies

Believe what you want - but I'd ask you to think about the following question - "If US and our own politicians are 'owned' by corporate interest then what do these corporations want our politicians to do for them and how are we seeing that happen in the world today?"

If we get Jezza and they get Bernie things are going to change - I don't think the establishment will just let that happen so these are going to be interesting times.

Especially now Murdoch has just predicted a Corbyn win

    You are Jeremy Corbyn?
