Nowhere does the article say he employed 'illegal' immigrants so what's the case against him?
Stopping or further controlling future immigration might be a desirable goal for everyone who lives here.
But giving every legal resident a fair chance at jobs they are qualified for shouldn't be held against anyone even if they are a UKIP member...

Never said it did and nor is this thread about 'illegal' immigrants. He was employing the very people that he campaigns against, where jobs could have been performed by the indigenous folk apart from the fact that he probably paid **** all and then charged for board and lodging. He's also not the first kipper, nor the first 'stop immigration person' to do this

Not to sure I understand the last section. Looking at the advice on the forums and am sure in a cuk article they can form a company and contract under the false assumption they will eventually do that. The immigration forums are full of contracting T1 holders. Some agencies will accept it but if they are a deemed employee which they can't be for T1 it's no more contracting surely. Maybe it's the agents that need to understand this actually.

Tier 1 E (as intended) requires them to create a certain number of jobs (presumably by employing people in their company?) or make a certain level of investment in a UK business. "employees or deemed employees" do neither of these so quite unlikely for Tier 1 E holders to fall under IR35.

About the ICT's, I think expenses form a major form of their earnings here and since their visas are temporary, they get a tax exemption on certain living expenses too (bills etc.) - so the larger consultancies are being openly given a major unfair advantage over contractors. This doesn't seem like how a fair and open market is supposed to work.

Tax rules are often different from commercial/immigration, it won't make a difference
