Who needs multiculturalism when you can have technology?

The Virginia State Board of Elections decertified the AVS WinVote machine, after releasing a brief but damning report on the vulnerabilities. Among the items they identified are:

    * The machines use an unpatched version of Windows from 2004.
    * The machines use the WEP protocol for WiFi encryption, which has been
    broken for over a decade.
    * The machines use a hardwired WEP encryption key ("abcde").
    * Even if configured to disable the wireless communication, the machines
allow numerous services, including file services.
    * The adminstrator password is "admin", which can't be changed through the
user interface provided to the election administrator.
    * The database is an obsolete version of Microsoft Access, with a hardwired
password of "shoup" (the family that owned the company).
    * The entire database can be replaced without any verification (i.e.,
    there's no MD5 checksums).

Mr Rahman has made a successful career by ignoring or flouting the law (as this Petition demonstrates) and has relied on silencing his critics by accusations of racism and Islamophobia. But his critics have not been silenced and neither has this court.

Events of recent months in contexts very different from electoral malpractice have starkly demonstrated what happens when those in authority are afraid to confront wrongdoing for fear of allegations of racism and Islamophobia. Even in the multicultural society which is 21st century Britain, the law must be applied fairly and equally to everyone. Otherwise we are lost.

lets hope they result in some jail time!

she has got away with it so far. She really annoys me seems to combine poor judgement & sense of entitlement with an AssGuru sized chip on her shoulder.

Mayor of Tower Hamlets Lutfur Rahman guilty of electoral corruption | Daily Mail Online

A London mayor who 'cynically perverted' the religious feeling of his Muslim community and 'silenced his critics with accusations of racism and Islamophobia' has been removed from office after a bitter legal battle with voters.

Disgraced Lutfur Rahman repeatedly played the 'race card' in his bid to seize the mayoralty of Tower Hamlets and later cling to power, Election Commissioner Richard Mawrey found today.

The judge ordered that last year's mayoral election be run again and Rahman - who was re-elected to the position after forming his own party, Tower Hamlets First - be barred from standing again.

Rahman, who was not in court for the judgement, was ordered to pay £250,000 costs following an Election Court trial estimated to have run up legal bills in the region of £1 million.

The judge said the case 'starkly demonstrated what happens when those in authority are afraid to confront wrongdoing for fear of allegations of racism and Islamophobia'.
and specially for Mr 'let me complete that vote for you and Allah knows the way you vote'
