I envy you the live Jazz so long as it's trad, some of the modern stuff makes me want to run away screaming.
My blog is my plan B currently, am using the bench time to build it up and see where it goes from there. Once I've got a regular readership I can then look at monetising it in some form. Need to get in touch with someone who can help redesign the site for me.

Have worked in kitchens as a chef, 90 hour weeks, 1 day off, no weekends, and you only get to see your loved ones for a few hours on your day off, not to mention the really low pay, which when I worked just about covered my petrol costs.

The idea would be to do contracting a few days a week to pay the bills and blog the other days. At the moment I'm trying to build up a store of blog posts ready to go when I don't have as much time to write, unless my next gig whenever that is, is another in a long line of me twiddling my thumbs where I can spend my time writing.

Also, as a result of the blog, I landed a spot on a taste panel for a local bakery, helping develop their menu and have been asked to do cookery demos for a cook shop later this year.

Tomorrow: blogging about said cooking and chilling and other culinary related activities that I got up to this week, possibly trip to the market and some live jazz at a mates cafe
Sunday: Yet more cooking, involving salting some pork belly to make streaky bacon, brining some beef to make salt beef, making a large batch of Thai green curry paste and of course blogging about that as well.

Our Eldest and some others from her class are cooking at a large hotel for a hundred guests tonight so off to do some tasting.

Tomorrow - the fight with the wilderness continues, the shed base and the landing platform for the man shack won't excavate themselves.
In the evening Playing silly beggars with SQL for an export on Monday.

Sunday - aching and maybe spending more time on the garden or lying on the sofa being a wimp.

    as Sat night.

Probably because they're only obtainable from defence contractors who specialise in biological warfare! There are some mad ones these days.

I'm managing a cutover this weekend with a bunch of stuff over the next 48 hours so not up to much.
