Doesn't it try and connect to everybody on their mailing list if they use that feature? I seem to have all sorts of links to people I scarcely know.

Some people view LI as a networking tool, that linking with anyone and everyone is sensible. I think that is contrary to the point of the site but it's pretty common so I wouldn't consider it weird - just ignore the invite.Originally posted by JRCT View PostI'm going to view a house at the weekend and I got a connection request on Linkedin from the guy who's selling the house.
He's in a completely different industry to me so there's no professional reason to send me an invite.
I can understand him having a 'nosey' at my profile, probably to see if I'm likely to be able to afford his house. But sending an invite is a bit weird. Isn't it?

Very soon, he will want you to "recommend him" as this " is very good for his business" ... been there, NOT done that as LinkedIn is for my professional matters only not for my real estate affairs.Originally posted by JRCT View PostI'm going to view a house at the weekend and I got a connection request on Linkedin from the guy who's selling the house.
